For five years, millions of Canadian Space: The Imagination Station viewers  enjoyed Rick Wharton's character "The Conspiracy Guy." Nominated in 2002 for Best Male Perfromance for the Canadian Comedy Awards.

For eight years, Rick has produced a star-studded variety show called "Yo Adrian ," which blends music and comedy and has become a Toronto Christmas tradition. This highly successful show is always sold-out and has raised over $80,000 for Barrett House, a Toronto AIDS/HIV residential facility.

Rick was also the winner of TMN'S Standup "The Next Jerry Seinfeld" Award. Ricks' new show, The Canadian Comic Witness Protection Program, TOURING NOW (2006)and showcasing not only Rick but other Canadian comedians who perform both improv and standup. This variety type show debuted at the Canadian Comedy Awards to great reviews. Actors whom you know from television, but don't know their names. Conspiracy? maybe... Canadian...yep.

He also manages and tours with Canada 's guitar virtuoso Rik Emmett, opening many performances for him.

Rick is a very recognizable figure in Canada 's entertainment industry, and has performed at several prestigious events. He enjoys performing for private corporate functions, soft seaters and clubs. Wharton is a Second City Toronto alumnus performing with both the touring company and the mainstage production for two years.  National television commercials have included Nicorette, UPS, Sprint, Wheel of Fortune, McDonald's, Coca Cola, Ford,  Wal-mart, Visine , Leon 's, Cheerios,  and many more.
